Haven't really had much to say, but what the hell a bit of catch up isn't too bad I suppose.

Well its another disappointing baseball season, as the Dodgers are six games out...of the CRAPPIEST CRAP DIVISION TO EVER BE CRAPPED IN ALL OF BASEBALL!! Christ, no I am serious, if you are not a baseball fan DO NOT READ ANYMORE OF THIS SECTION! So the number one team in the NL West....the San Diego Padres....and THEIR NOT EVEN AT .500 of their games! The NL West....no matter which team makes it to the post season should just hang up their hats and look forward to next season, and figure out where they went wrong. I mean even our number one team...is latent with injuries, and the rest of the teams aren't doing much better, or they would be in first place....and don't even get me started on the Dodgers managerment, Le Ducca anyone? The sad part is football is in preseason and it looks just as bad for me, the Redskins aren't going anywhere, I mean how bad is is to not even have started the season and KNOW your team is going to suck it up, and stink up another season? At least hockey is back up and running, should check the Ducks roster. And MAYBE the Lakers will do something this year. And well Notre Dame always rules. Think prehaps I watch too much sports?

Cam is the stink pit of all humanity as per usual. Okay its really not that bad, the people are cool, I just am not into the games anymore....saving of course....CHANGELING...thank you for the introduction all those years ago Brian, and to think Max was a door character...

Comics are good...I am excited to read House of M but I wait until an entire series is out before I read it....cause I have no patience. Though apparently I have to read Avengers Disassembled, before I can get everything in House of M. I read just about every X-title...sorry I like mutants. Been reading some lower print stuff that is good like Atomica, Walking Dead, Fanthom Dawn of War, Soulfire, things like that all good stuff. Runaways is good, Ultimate just about anything rocks, especially the Spider-man series. Initimates is pretty cool..I dont know I try to look over a fair amount of stuff.

Hmm some of the people I respect the most talk about important world issues...its not that I don't care or that I don't keep, because I do on both accounts, I just have grown too frustrated to make too many comments. Here is my BASIC thoughts on most world issues, we have more then enough matters to fix here at home, the rest of the world wants our help, but despises our way of life. Bad people are going to do bad things, its the way things go, I am certainly not saying we should not fight, or that we should give up, but we should take care of our own backyard BEFORE jumping into someone else's puddle.

I game online.....with alarming regularity. I mostly play WoW right now. Though I still have my CoH account and will likely be playing that more once the Sonic and Archery powers finally drop. Oh and I can't wait for CoV.

TV, West Wing rocks, get it on DVD, I do, then we could have something to talk about. I don't know I don't have the time to sit and watch much TV, I'd rather just buy the seasons on DVD and watch them. Most of the HBO shows are awesome too.

Vacation Goodiness

So I have been on vacation this last week, and man as it been relaxing. I really have not done a whole lot, and there are things I still need to do, like work on my background for my new Vampire character, before next weekends game. I just do not know about how this new game is going to be, I mean new rules, and I hate reading rules material. But the setting seems alright enough, and I haven't played LARP in probably the better part of six months (expect Changeling) so in those respects I am looking forward to it. However, I do not know if it will hold the same fun that I had playing characters I had to retire with no real end, such as my longest lived Cam character Brandon Shrek, or the character that actually made Sabbat fun for me, Aiden Domokos. I suppose we shall see.

On a side note, the one thing I did manage to accomplish was defeating Knights of the Old Republic 2. If you own an Xbox, buy this game, play it. If you are a Star Wars fan you will enjoy it. In truth, the last two games have been by far cooler then the last two movies.

I know there are a great deal of you who I do not keep up with nearly as much as I should, and I regret that a great deal. Everyone who is likely to read this is a more then just a great friend of mine, but as also made some impact or another on me. Starting with the New Year I will do my best to update my journal much more often. But until then, a few words...

The majority of you I have met through our affiliation with the Cam (I suppose something good has to come out of that organization), but you have all become much more then just "Gaming Buddies", and for that I am grateful. Each one of you is unique and awesome in your own special way, and I am sorry that I do not drop more lines to many more of you. At this time of year, many people begin to reflect upon the year past, and I do hope that dispite bumps along the way, that 2004 has found you all in some state of peace. Merry Christmas to you all, and I hope that 2005 brings you all the even greater joys that you all so richly deserve.

Alright so its time for an update I suppose. I was never one of these once a day journal writers. I tried to do once a week updates, but that just sort of petered out once I realized that I didn't have much to talk about except sports.

Which by the way rocks right now, my Dodgers are still in first place of the NL West and are still going strong, despite trading out Paul La Duca. Football pre season is starting and the Redskins look alright, but nothing to make too much noise about, but it should be a fun football season regardless.

Hockey and Basketball will both be starting up again soon enough should be interesting to see what a Kobe centered Lakers will be like, can you honestly believe they brough Devac back? Heard they might move the Sacramento Kings to a different city. I have no clue about hockey, I really didn't care after last year's shitty Duck's season.

NOW then, let's see if we can cover all the bases, work SUCKS, they work me way too much and while I enjoy the money, its just very tiring. Gaming is going good, I just haven't been very involved because, of well work. Though scaryblackdeath as returned out of no where, he likes to do stuff like that, like a creepy ninja, but it has definately repeeked my interest in changeling. Hell he even turned my notice to a website that has a piture of me as Gunther on it, as well as a bunch of other noteable fae. Now all I have to do is write a bio up for the website, going to have to make that my goal for the end of the week. Though hopefully I can get the idea of getting the old band back together with Gunther and the Doc, and the rest to go forth and kick major butt.

I wish I spoke with more of my peeps down in the LA and OC areas, but I do not, I am going to have to change that. Anyhow I have a bunch of crap to do before bedtime and then I have to get up early, so good night for now.

What is it in this world that makes man either good or evil?

Yet the lines are not so clear, are they? More often then not man does not make room for circumstances. Rightousiness becomes involved, the need to be vindicated, right or wrong, in order to set straight some betrayal, or to prove a point. All the while compromises are made along the way, everything that was once good about a man falls to the wayside, in the burning desire to be made right.

A good man knows that balance must be maintained. A good man sees the grey areas in life, the circumstances that lead or force people into their decisions, even the poor ones, especially the poor ones others make, instead of merely the poor ones he himself makes and then simply justifies. A good man stands by his princples, yet allows for the fact that others with fail to life up to them. A good man does not allow rightous behavior to cloud his thoughts. A good man stands by his word, is understanding, and yet does not allow another to compromise him, or walk all over him. It is an extremely difficult path, hence why is it less travelled.

Why do you think the anti hero concept is so popular? A dark and brooding individual, who still manages to do the right thing, or at very least the best thing possible. Compromises have to be made in life, this for that, sometimes we are allowed choices, and other times compromises are thrusted upon us. Stephen Hawkings, a man so brillant it boggles the mind, yet has not one truely useful funiction of his body. Barry Bonds, a man who even at an advanced age (at least for what he does) while not as capiable as he was in his younger days, is of sound body. And yet his mind is corrupted by his arrogance, unable to see past himself, or give thanks to legendary men that came before him. (Note this is not a bash on Barry, simply an example). A wealthy man, has no love, and a man who is all but penniless holds the heart of another. A man might have both, but be lacking elsewhere. For everything a man has, there is always something he is lacking. And this is the way it has to be, if not, if man were entirely content, there would be no reason for man to get up to meet each day. With no goal to strive for a man has nothing. Does this mean a man can never be happy? Of course not. Happiness is simply another compromise. In other words, just how much man can either live without, or at least live without ever truthly obtaining what is lacking.

I have thought long and hard about this, and I am not certain where I fit in.

I have given of myself over and again, I have sacrficed my well being for the well being of others. I am responisble, I am understanding of others, and I can be patient. Good Correct?

In desperation I have oftened wondered when it is my turn. When I will get back what I have invested in life. I have made many poor choices, I have done the opposite of everything I have listed above, and I have acted out in self-rightousiness.

I know the path I wish to walk, I know it is difficult, I realize it is lonely, others will either not understand, or laugh and tease in an attempt to hide their contempt, and to cover up their own unwillinginess to take the high road. I know that while I have been faced with harsh trails, many more still face me, but I will continue to do my best not to give in. Does this make me better then anyone else? No. It simply makes me, a better me, and nothing more.

I think that today I witnessed the WORST game of basketball I have EVER seen the Lakers play. It was so freaking sad, and they lost IN LOS ANGELES....TO THE FREAKIN PISTONS!!! ARGH!! The ONLY way to save face is to win this next one, and then one in Detroit. I just hope they can pull it together.

NBA Champions

That is right, Sunday the beating starts. My Los Angeles Lakers are facing off against the Detroit Pistons. Now do not get me wrong, but the Pistons do NOT have what it takes to knock off the Lakers. Who the hell are they going to get to guard Shaq or Kobe? I mean the Pistons are a good team, but come on. Well I really should have bet this post season, everything I predicted came true and I would have had a bag full of money. So here is one final prediction, the Lakers WILL win their fourth championship in five years, and they will do it in five games.

I am saddened by the fact that the Dodgers, dispite coming out strong at the begining of the season, have started to utterly fail. They were at one point ontop of the National League West by 3 games, and now are something like 2-3 game behind San Deigo. Well I will continue to sport my Dodger blue until the end of the season come hell or highwater, and hopefully they can turn this slump around before the all star break.

Let us pray...

On a funnier sidenote did anyone see the outrageous display one of the Dodgers, and Tracy put on tonight? Too cool. Unfortunately they were ejected from the game, but I can understand their anger, I would be pissed too if I was down one to nothing in the top of the seventh against the freaking Brewers.

Little known fact, I have always wanted to play professional baseball, call it a boyhood dream of mine. Now as I got older I understood my talent at the sport MIGHT have taken me to the minors at best. But still I will always dream of stepping out on the field at Dodger stadium in that white, grey, or blue jersey. OH WAIT! I still can wear the jersey, from the comfort of my own home. Regardless, maybe if I got back into shape, and some grand mircle were to occur that would heal my injuries and infuse me with just a bit more talent. Ah to dream. Of course I am lucky if I can throw the ball straight anymore, then again I haven't practiced outside yet. Well if nothing else the training and practicing might not be a bad idea, just for the sake of doing them.

A Fun New aspect to an old Changeling Character

For those of you who know me, I have been playing my Grump Troll (Count) Gunther Stormbreaker for quite some years. He does however have a mundane mortal identity as Maximillion (Max) Xavier Maxim. This person to the mundane world holds Fame at 5, but up until now I have done little to go into depth of describing his fame worthy antics. Max is known for many things, being an author, an action movie star, a drummer, a boxer, a surfer, being extremely independently wealthy, but most of all for being a professional wrestler. Towards the end of last year BarbedWireChris got me into this internet pro wrestling RP forum known simply as efeding. So I have used this outlet to flush out some of his career in order to give more of a realistic feel to the actual character. A few notes for the pro wrestling impaired:
"The Golden One" Max Maxim is the Death Valley Wrestling (DVW) World Heavyweight Champion.

"The Uncrowned Champion, the Perfection of Precision" Ethan Hunt is played by Mister Smith, and is Max's tag team partner. ((No Chris is not playing any of his WW characters in this))

Ethan and Max's team is called Perfect Specimen (once the DVW Tag Team Champions)

Max is a heel, which means on screen he is one of the bad guys, but he wasn't always.

Max heads a faction (a group of wrestlers which can encompass tag teams) called The Franchise Players.

Alright, well maybe not.

So here we are on Sunday again, so I guess its time for an update. I had serious fun this weekend, and made it to all three games I wanted to go to. Okay so I know what you might be thinking, how sad, right? Eh maybe, but only for the steer nerd quality of it all. The point wasn't the games, though they themselves were entertaining, and good stuff was accomplished, or bad if you were on the business end of an enraged Gunther and his axe. Really though it was about hanging out with people I enjoy laughing with, and just having a good time. Alright, so some booze might have been involved.

So gaming recap:

Sabbat: Aiden made his first appearance in months, and under the lead of Ulrich a local Ductus ( FisherKing7 ), a mighty crusade was waged against the Anarchs of Clovis. Their dead, we're not, then Aiden told the Cainites of Bakersfield to ready their city for his arrival enough said.

Changeling: Oh man, this one was jacked. So the commoners had a 'Battle of the Bands' style contest, at the last game, and collected orginal poetry, song lyrics, and even collected canned foods for the homeless. All good times right? Save a pair of jackholes screwed the entire thing for everyone else by ravaging. So our hero gets told about this and here we have the premise for the game yesterday. Gunther makes his way to Fire and Mist, and along with Tremor precedes to take every one of the commoners into custody. Great RP, and in the end we found out who the ones responsible, but of course they were not present, and their PCs. Oh but wait there is more, Ryknar decides its time to put in his two cents thusly holding the commoners who held the mew responsible for the crime as well, and thus their punishments where to be the same. So the three commoners step up, one accepts responsibility, and is quickly chimerically slain. A huge fight breaks out between the rest of the commoners and the badly outnumbered hero. Granted all the commoners did was defend and attempt to get away. Finally realizing that fighting everyone of them was going to be useless Gunther busts out his treasure staff, Protcal, everyone shuts the fuck up. An extremely emotional scene occurs in some of the best RP I have had in quiet some time, as the commoners beg and plead for the life of one of the other two set for death. And just about the time Gunther is about to give into mercy (best he really is the good guy) he gets tagged with a vision that sends him from Seelie to Unseelie, in the blink of an eye. Gunther breaks one of the commoner's neck as an example and tells everyone else, including the final commoner that was suppost to die, to get the hell out. Then a great bit of RP with Ryknar where the Duke shares some important information about Ragnorak, then off to the mental hospital to wrap up another plot line, where we got to rescue about eight or nine fae. Good days work.

Cam/Anarch: Good RP, but nothing terribly important happened, but it was still very fun.

I have come to the conclusion that it takes way too much energy to be me. I need to find a new way to recharge the old batteries, this sleeping thing is just too inefficent.

My stomach hurts really bad. I have no idea as to whether its me being sick, or my irritation at the fact that the good times had to be abruptly ended, when reality showed its ugly head. I actually called in to work, but then wound up going in anyhow. I really should have stayed home since work sucked way more then usual. I hate having to be responisble all the time. Not that responisblity is a bad thing, or sticking with responisbilities is, just that it takes away a HUGE amount of time away from the me that just wants to go our and have a good time. Oh well, now I wait for the next really big project, going to Bakersfield in the coming weeks so that I can check things in the Changeling and Sabbat venues.

Sports sucks this week, the Dodgers barrel down towards a 10 game losing streak, and the Lakers lost today which ties the western conference at 1 each. Eh, Lakers are going to win this one, I have no idea why I would even worry.
